BETHEL, Alaska (AP) - The City of Bethel paid $175,000 last week to the man whose violent arrest in 2014 was caught on camera.

KYUK-AM reports (https://bit.ly/1ES3c1l) attorney Bill Ingaldson says the city’s settlement with Wassillie Gregory includes about $80,000 in medical expense for a dislocated shoulder that required surgery.

A Bethel judge overturned Gregory’s guilty plea for a charge of harassing a police officer after surveillance video of the arrest became available in April.

The Bethel Police Department fired officer Andrew Reid in March. The investigation has been turned over to the FBI by the Bethel District Attorney’s office.
