CHESTERFIELD, N.H. (AP) - Police in the town of Chesterfield, New Hampshire, have confirmed that a body was recovered from the Connecticut River.

Crews responded after getting a call at around 9 a.m. Tuesday reporting a body might be floating in the water. Firefighters from several communities in New Hampshire and Vermont began searching the river.

The Brattleboro Reformer reports (https://bit.ly/1Fs0GAr) police said the body was found and the New Hampshire medical examiner was at the marina in Hinsdale at about 1 p.m.
