LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has received a $198,000 grant to upgrade technology and several classrooms.

The grant comes from the Charles B. Keesee Educational Fund. A release from the seminary says it will go to fund technology upgrades that will allow faculty to teach overseas students and bring in guest lecturers to their classrooms through video sharing. The grant will also provide new furnishings for several classrooms, including two classrooms and a computer lab in the James P. Boyce Centennial Library.

Seminary President R. Albert Mohler Jr. said the grant will enhance the institution’s ability to train young ministers and missionaries in and out of the classroom.
