LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Hollywood intersection has been dedicated to late actor Mickey Rooney.

City News Service says Rooney’s children and some of his leading ladies were on hand for Monday’s dedication of Mickey Rooney Memorial Square at Sunset Boulevard and Orange Drive.

The intersection is across the street from Hollywood High School, where Rooney and other stars from Hollywood’s Golden Age went to school.

Rooney’s acting career began when he was a baby and stretched into old age. He was an Emmy winner and multiple Oscar nominee.

Rooney died last year at 93. His final film, “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,” will be released Oct. 30.
