NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A northern New Jersey man has been sentenced to five years in prison for downloading hundreds of child sex abuse images.

Federal prosecutors say 36-year-old Lucas Reinmann, of Boonton, will also have to serve 10 years of supervised release once he’s freed from prison.

The sentence was imposed Tuesday.

Reinmann had pleaded guilty in January to knowingly receiving images of child pornography online. He admitted possessing more than 600 images of child sexual abuse on his computers and USB drives, which were seized from his residence in July 2013.
