PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say two officers fired shots at a suspect in south Philadelphia over the weekend, but no one was injured.

Officials say officer tried to stop a car that had a license plate registered to another vehicle, but it fled at high speed.

The car eventually hit a parked vehicle and a building, and the driver fled on foot with a handgun in his hand.

Police said after two officers pursued him for a few blocks, he partially turned toward them still holding the gun, so both officers fired but missed.

The man then dropped the handgun and fled, and another officer discharged a stun gun at him before he was apprehended after a brief struggle.

The man was treated for cuts and his gun was recovered. Police are investigating.
