ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - The demolition phase of the Rapides Parish Coliseum renovation project is nearly finished, and officials are now hoping for good weather for the upcoming construction phase.

The Town Talk reports (https://townta.lk/1eM5ydb) Bill Tudor of Alliance Design Group told Rapides Parish police jurors Monday that wet weather during certain times of the construction phase could throw off the schedule and add to the cost.

Tudor, whose firm is overseeing the project, updated jurors on the work taking place as part of the $22.9 million renovation project.

Tudor told jurors that the demolition phase is about 85 to 90 percent complete.
