DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - The body of a 17-year-old swimmer missing overnight has been found floating in the surf on New Smyrna Beach.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (https://bit.ly/1eMnEvL) reports the body of the unidentified Georgia teenager was found Monday morning. Officials say the boy went missing Sunday just after 5 p.m. after high tides and potent rip currents emerged along the shore along Volusia County beaches last week. The teenager’s drowning is the fourth in a week in Volusia County.

Authorities say 53-year-old Rickie Ortiz from Kissimmee died Sunday after being pulled unconscious from the ocean off Daytona Beach. Forty-three-year-old Christopher Milhoan, of Tampa, was pulled unconscious from rough surf May 24 in Daytona Beach Shores and 62-year-old Sarkys Balian from Beirut died Memorial Day after being pulled out of the ocean by lifeguards.
