LOGAN, Utah (AP) - One person was killed and six others hospitalized after a head-on crash in Logan Canyon.

The Standard-Examiner of Ogden reports (https://bit.ly/1CjKPCO ) that the Utah Highway Patrol says a woman from Kaysville died when the Subaru she was driving north drifted into the southbound lane.

A press release says one person in the other vehicle was airlifted to Salt Lake City for medical care and five other passengers were transported to local hospitals.

UHP says the crash occurred around 9 p.m. Friday, about a mile south of the Beaver Ski Resort turn-off.

The cause of the accident is under investigation and the names of the victims are being withheld until family is notified.
