DUBUQUE, Iowa (AP) - A Dubuque man accused of killing his 27-old-daughter will be arraigned on a first-degree murder charge later this month.

The Dubuque Telegraph Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1IqFL1w ) that 62-year-old Robert Stern will be arraigned on June 29, when he will enter a plea.

Iowa District Court Judge Michael Shubatt on Friday ordered the arraignment hearing. Stern continues to be held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.

Officers were called to the Sterns’ home June 9 to perform a welfare check after Robert Stern called 911 and said someone in the residence may have died.

Kimberly Stern’s body was found in a bedroom, and officers say she’d been shot several times.
