GOOD HOPE, Ala. (AP) - Police say a 54-year-old man was struck and killed while changing a flat tire on Interstate 65 in Cullman County.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesman Curtis Summerville tells al.com (https://bit.ly/1TEbZPF ) Carl Rayburn Curry of Hanceville was hit shortly after 4 p.m. Friday by a Mac truck.

Curry was a service person who had been called to help a broken down 18-wheeler about a mile north of Good Hope. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the truck was not injured.

Alabama state troopers were still investigating.
