PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP) - A Pine Bluff man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for his role in the shooting death of 54-year-old Carol Baker.

Prosecutors say 27-year-old Samuel Kimmons pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and one count of committing a terroristic act in Baker’s 2013 shooting death.

Prosecutors said that as part of a plea agreement with Kimmons, the initial charge of first-degree murder was reduced to second-degree murder.

But because Kimmons has prior convictions, he won’t be eligible for parole and will serve his entire sentence.
