PAGE, Ariz. (AP) - A federal grant is helping the city of Page improve its airport.

The $902,500 grant will go to build a 191-foot taxiway at the Page Municipal Airport, install 32 airfield guidance signs and rehabilitate lighting on the runway. The money comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation.

U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick announced the funding Friday. She says the airport plays a key role in northern Arizona’s economy.

The airport offers daily service to Denver, Phoenix and Los Angeles.
