REDGRANITE, Wis. (AP) - An 18-year-old Appleton woman has drowned in Redgranite Quarry in Waushara County of central Wisconsin.

Redgranite Police Chief Kyle Tarr says authorities got a call just after 6 p.m. Friday of a swimmer who hadn’t surfaced. Divers recovered the body of Alaya HuaChee Lo about an hour later.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says the quarry is a six-acre lake that’s up to 163 feet deep.

The name and age of the victim haven’t been released.
