WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (AP) - An Amber Alert that was issued for a missing 3-year-old boy in western Connecticut who allegedly was taken by his father has been canceled.

Willimantic police say Tony Juarez was found uninjured Saturday morning and returned to his mother. The father, 36-year-old Fermin Juarez, was arrested and charged with risk of injury to a minor and disorderly conduct.

Police say Juarez took the boy, who suffers from a serious medical condition, Friday night after he and the child’s mother had an argument.

Police issued an Amber Alert early Saturday. They canceled it about an hour later when they located the boy and Juarez at their Ives Street residence.

Juarez is being held at Willimantic Police Headquarters in lieu of $20,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
