OGLALA, S.D. (AP) - Authorities on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation say they’ve arrested a man in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in April.

The body of 31-year-old Jessie Waters was found April 30 in a remote area just outside her hometown of Oglala.

KOTA-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1NdmPaR ) the man is facing a federal arson charge. Oglala Sioux Tribe Chief of Police Eugenio White Hawk says the man has not been charged with Waters’ death but that his arrest is connected to the case.

Last week Waters’ family members and supporters marched on the Oglala Sioux Tribal government offices to call for action in the case and to bring attention to the high levels of domestic violence on the reservation.
