TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson police say a suspect in a felony investigation has been hospitalized after leaving a trail of damage that included nine cars.

Police spokeswoman Kimberly Bay says officers tried to conduct a traffic stop Friday around 11:45 a.m. of a truck driven by 30-year-old Donald Terry.

Bay says Terry pulled into a parking lot and then drove the truck in reverse, colliding with several vehicles before ramming one that was occupied.

They say he continued pushing the vehicle until it hit another one.

Three officers then opened fire but Terry drove away and collided with another vehicle.

Responding officers detained him and he was taken to a hospital in serious condition. He is expected to survive.

Several others were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries stemming from the collisions.
