NEPTUNE, N.J. (AP) - A head-on crash in central New Jersey has left three children and three adults injured.

The crash occurred around 1:35 a.m. Sunday on Route 33 in Neptune. Authorities say it appears that one of the cars swerved into oncoming traffic and struck the other vehicle.

The six injured people were all being treated at hospitals, but further details on their conditions have not been released. Their names have not been disclosed.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
