LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Caring for people with dementia, heart failure or other chronic illnesses takes a toll on caregivers.

Instructors from the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s nursing program will discuss that impact at an event in Lincoln on Monday.

Joan Harvey and Mary Christensen will talk about caregiver strain and what can be done to minimize it.

The science cafe event begins at 7 p.m. Monday. It will be held at VEGA at 350 Canopy St. in Lincoln.
