MEDINA, Ohio (AP) - A young bald eagle is being nursed back to health after being knocked from its nest during a violent storm in northern Ohio.

One eagle chick died in the storm two weeks ago in Vermilion.

The Plain Dealer reports (https://bit.ly/1Rg8oTH ) Lorain County game officials rescued the weakened chick that was found soaking wet and in poor condition.

The chick, estimated at four to five weeks old, was taken to Medina Raptor Center for treatment.

The young bird will be sent to the American Eagle Foundation in Tennessee where eaglets are raised in enclosed towers.
