ASHTABULA, Ohio (AP) - Authorities in the northeast corner of Ohio say two people are dead after their motorcycle was hit by a pick-up truck.

The State Highway Patrol says the driver of the pick-up left the scene and was arrested a short time later.

The crash happened a little after midnight on Sunday near Ashtabula (ash-tuh-BYOO’-luh).

The two people who were on the motorcycle were wearing helmets and both were thrown from the bike.

They were identified as 52-year-old Joseph Lorelli and 51-year-old Tracy Chapman, both from Ashtabula.
