SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Three people have been killed in San Antonio when their car crossed the center line and struck an oncoming pickup.

Bexar (bayr) County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rosanne Hughes says it’s not clear what caused the sedan to cross the center line late Sunday evening, but authorities are investigating whether excessive speed was a factor.

A man in his 30s was killed along with two children. The names of the victims were not released Monday morning but Hughes says it’s believed they were part of the same family.

Two people in the pickup were taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Hughes says deputies over the weekend responded to multiple fatal wrecks, with each involving motorists driving too fast in rainy conditions.
