ORLAND, Ind. (AP) - Police say an 8-year-old boy on a bicycle was struck and killed by a pickup after riding into a road in northeast Indiana.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office says 8-year-old Ulises Munoz of Orland had gone into the road from a private drive around 8 p.m. Sunday. He rode into the path of the pickup, which was driven by a 55-year-old Orland man.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. The Steuben County coroner says he died from blunt force trauma.
