WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - Children in Forsyth County will have access to free breakfast and lunch again this summer.

The Winston-Salem Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1Ro3gwZ ) summer meals will be served at 18 schools throughout the county.

All 18 locations will serve both breakfast and lunch Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 13. Students can sign up to receive take-home food to cover Friday’s meals, when the school district is closed.

Breakfast will be served from 8:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students can receive their meals at any of the 18 locations.

The free summer meals are a continuation of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program, which seeks to make sure that school-age children have access to healthy, affordable meals.
