COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a man who died after collapsing on the Barr Trail near Colorado Springs.

The El Paso County coroner’s office identified the man Monday as 63-year-old Richard Dakin. An autopsy was completed Monday, but the coroner’s office has not released a cause or manner of death.

The sheriff’s office says Dakin had a medical emergency about 2 miles up the trail Saturday morning. Fellow hikers tried CPR but were unsuccessful in reviving him.

The Gazette reports (https://goo.gl/Dpcpy4 ) the trail and the nearby Manitou Incline were closed for several hours.
