KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - A Kalispell man is charged with cutting the brake lines on his mother’s car.

The Daily Inter Lake reports (https://bit.ly/1BwVCyf ) 23-year-old Corey Jonathan Woods made an initial appearance in Justice Court on a felony criminal endangerment charge. His bail was set at $6,000 and his arraignment is scheduled for July 2.

Charging documents say Woods’ mother called the Flathead County sheriff’s office on June 15 to report having a “very heated” argument with her son.

About 30 minutes later she called again to report her brakes had failed while she was driving downhill. She said she was able to downshift and eventually come to a stop. A deputy said he looked like her brake lines had been cut with a knife.

Wood was arrested two days later.
