PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Nearly 100 cats have been rescued from a single home in Klamath Falls in southern Oregon.

KPTV reports (https://is.gd/LEaPTy ) that 95 cats were transported to the Oregon Humane Society in Portland on Monday. The Humane Society says many of the cats will be available for adoption starting Thursday.

In the house, police say they found floors stained with animal waste, overflowing litter boxes and cats running everywhere.

While the owner asked that the cats be taken to the Humane Society, law enforcement officials continue to investigate the case.
