PHOENIX (AP) - A Phoenix man is in custody for allegedly kidnapping his girlfriend and threatening her with a gun.

Phoenix police say 33-year-old William Loren Bradshaw also is being held on suspicion of felony charges of aggravated assault and discharging a firearm in the city limits.

Bond was set at $25,000 at Bradshaw’s initial court appearance. He doesn’t have a lawyer yet.

Police were called to a townhome last Friday in response to a report that shots had been fired.

A woman rushed out of the apartment and said she had been kidnapped by Bradshaw and he allegedly had pointed a gun at her and later fired one shot outside.

The couple had been living together for three months. The woman told police she informed Bradshaw that she wanted to leave.
