HANOVER, N.H. (AP) - Prominent scholars from both sides of the Atlantic are heading to New Hampshire for a month-long summer institute on French culture at Dartmouth College.

The 12th Institute of French Cultural Studies starts Monday and runs through July 21. Several dozen graduate students from French departments at top colleges and universities will attend seminars and workshops focused on how French culture has been influenced by politics, with the goal of revitalizing and enriching the teaching of French.

The institute also will feature public discussions with academics and other guest speakers.
