GRETNA, La. (AP) - The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in a triple shooting in Harvey that left two people dead.

Deputies say 27-year-old Dartanya Spottsville, of Marrero, turned himself in at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center Monday afternoon.

WVUE-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1J0KSs5 ) he faces two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.

The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The homicide victims have been identified as 23-year-old Johnell Ovide, of Harvey, who died at the scene and 21-year-old Trammell Marshall, of Marrero, who died at an area hospital.

The third victim, a 23-year-old man from Marrero remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Spottsville has a long criminal history. He is currently on probation in Jefferson Parish for possession of heroin.
