VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - A Vancouver, Washington, high school teacher accused of taking an inappropriate photo of a student with his phone has been arrested.

Police say 40-year-old Matthew Morasch was arrested Monday for investigation of two counts of voyeurism. One relates to a student photo police say was taken June 15 in a classroom; the other relates to a photo of an unknown female at a retail store that dates from April. Police say they found the photos after obtaining a search warrant for the man’s phone.

It was not known late Monday whether Morasch had a lawyer.

The Columbian reports (https://is.gd/w9oEMw ) that school district spokeswoman Gail Spolar says the Evergreen High School teacher was put on paid leave the day of the reported incident.

Detectives interviewed students who were in the classroom that day.
