QUEENS, W.Va. (AP) - The National Weather Service has confirmed recent storm damage in Upshur County was caused by a tornado.

The weather service says the tornado touched down around 7:15 p.m. last Wednesday near Queens and traveled 1.8 miles. The tornado damaged several buildings and snapped multiple trees.

The F1 tornado’s estimated maximum wind speed was 100 miles per hour.

There were no injuries.
