AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Three men face assault charges in connection with a fight involving an off-duty Detroit police officer outside The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Court records show no arraignment dates have been set for Demarius Clark, Darnell Milton and Davon Stephens.

The officer was changing a flat May 17 when the Detroit area men attempted to park in an adjacent space.

Auburn Hills police Lt. Casimir Miarka tells (https://bit.ly/1J2hQs5 ) The Oakland Press for a story Tuesday that “there were plenty of parking spots they could’ve gone to, but they chose that spot.”

The off-duty officer shot and wounded two people. He suffered head injuries and wasn’t charged.

Comedian Kevin Hart was performing at the venue, north of Detroit.

The Associated Press was unable to reach Clark, Milton and Stephens Tuesday for comment.
