LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) - A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murder as an adult in the stabbing death of an 86-year-old Lancaster woman.

Tony Donnell Brown of Lancaster was charged Monday with one count of murder and two counts of burglary. He hasn’t been arraigned and it’s unclear whether he has an attorney.

Los Angeles County prosecutors say Brown broke into the home of Annie Bell on Thursday and stabbed her to death as she lay in bed.

He was arrested after neighbors reported seeing someone hiding in some bushes.

If convicted, he faces a possible sentence of 26 years to life in prison.
