ARCADIA, California (AP) - California Highway Patrol officers say a 2½-hour chase has ended in an Arcadia cul-de-sac with the arrest of a man and a woman.

Officer Ramberto Salcido tells KCBS-TV that the car was reported stolen in Fontana at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. He says during the pursuit, the car reached speeds of over 100 miles per hour on freeways. The driver wove in and out of traffic to avoid slower cars and at one point went into a supermarket parking lot and pulled into a parking space before resuming the pursuit.

Salcido says the man was driving and the two were seen arguing so it was unknown if the woman was a victim or willing participant.

No damage to other cars was seen during the chase.
