PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A man has been charged in the stabbing death of his girlfriend during what police call a domestic dispute in a north Philadelphia home.

Police said the a report of someone screaming sent officers to the Hunting Park home on the morning of June 17, where they found a woman with stab wounds. She was pronounced dead about a half-hour later.

Authorities said 28-year-old Brittany Green died of a stab wound to the neck, and her death was ruled a homicide.

Officials said Tuesday that 28-year-old Gerrell Hall of the Haddington section of west Philadelphia was arrested and charged with the murder.

Hall remained in custody and was being represented by the Defender Association of Philadelphia, which could not immediately provide the name of an attorney representing him.
