AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a Hepzibah man has died after falling from a crane at International Paper in Augusta.

Multiple news outlets report Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen says 44-year-old Michael Hill was driving a crane when he fell out of the back of the cab for unknown reasons Monday night.

Bowen says Hill fell 50 to 70 feet before striking the ground and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hill’s body will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s crime lab in Atlanta for an autopsy. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified of the incident.
