FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - A Napa County man found with 25 pounds of methamphetamine in his car has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Court documents show 23-year-old Mario Farias Pineda was driving in Fresno County when he was pulled over by deputies for talking on his cellphone.

Prosecutors say deputies then searched his car and found methamphetamine in a hidden compartment behind the rear passenger seat.

Pineda was charged with possession with intent to distribute meth.

The U.S. attorney’s office says the Calistoga resident was sentenced Monday.
