MILWAUKEE (AP) - A man suspected of shooting and wounding a Wauwatosa detective is now accused of robbing a woman at gunpoint in Milwaukee days earlier.

Twenty-year-old Najee Harmon is charged with armed robbery. Prosecutors say he held a gun to the woman’s neck and demanded money while she sat in a car last Tuesday. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports (https://bit.ly/1K8chcV ) the woman gave Harmon her wallet, then he left in a waiting car.

On Friday, Wauwatosa detective Jeffrey Griffin was shot and Harmon was named a suspect. Wauwatosa police had approached Harmon while investigating a burglary in that city.

Police say Harmon fled after the shooting, prompting a manhunt that lasted more than 24 hours.

Harmon hasn’t been charged in the shooting.

Online records don’t list an attorney to comment on Harmon’s behalf.
