RENO, Nev. (AP) - State troopers returned to work at the Nevada Highway Patrol office in Reno a day after they evacuated the building because of concerns about potentially toxic fumes.

Trooper David Gibson says the Reno office reopened on Tuesday and was conducting business as usual.

The NHP post was evacuated and closed Monday morning after an electronic malfunction resulted in gases emitting from server batteries.

Gibson says no one suffered any illness as a result of the fumes.

The Nevada Department of Public Safety Dispatch Center handled all 911 emergency calls to the NHP branch during the temporary closure.
