OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden is announcing the birth of a giraffe.

The zoo said Tuesday that the female giraffe was born Monday and stands more than 5 feet tall. The parents are 15 year-olds Ellie and Bogy, who have three other offspring.

Zoo officials say - depending on the weather - visitors may be able to see the baby giraffe from mid-morning through early afternoon.

The baby giraffe has not yet been named.
