ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont park fountain that received a makeover is temporarily out of order.

The 120-year-old rusted Arnold Park fountain in St. Johnsbury received major repairs in 2012.

The Caledonian Record reports (https://bit.ly/1fwtC4d ) Town Manger Chad Whitehead says the fountain briefly operated this spring, but was quickly deactivated for maintenance. Its tile pedestal required sealant, but after that happened, the fountain’s recirculation pump didn’t work.

Whitehead said the problem is being fixed and the fountain is tentatively scheduled to begin operating Wednesday.
