CEDAR PARK, Texas (AP) - A man has been cited after police say his 12-year-old son drove a vehicle into a house and hit a gas line in Cedar Park.

According to Cedar Park police, the vehicle crashed into a house Monday at about 6 p.m. after the father let his son drive. Six houses, including the one that was struck, lost power. Police say no one was injured.

Authorities say one home was evacuated due to safety concerns with a gas line.

Power was restored to the homes by 10:30 p.m. except the home that was struck. Officials said the extent of the damage done to the home is unknown.
