BRADFORD, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a fire that destroyed a house in Bradford was started by three children who had started small fires in the garage and surrounding property that spread.

No one was in the house at the time of the fire on Sunday night. Police say the two-story garage and storage section connected to the main house were fully involved.

The fire is estimated to have caused $200,000 in damage.

Police say three young boys, including one who lives at the home, started the small fires in the garage and surrounding property. Authorities say the children will not be charged.
