OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt’s office says a child speech pathologist has pleaded no contest to one count of Medicaid fraud.

Pruitt’s office said Tuesday that 46-year-old Rebecca Lynn Reif of Poteau was given a five-year deferred sentence and ordered to pay more than $5,000 in restitution and investigative costs.

Reif worked as a speech pathologist for Ramsey Speech Pathology in Muskogee. She was accused of submitting falsified timesheets that indicated she had conducted sessions with children that never took place.

Investigators said that caused Medicaid to pay more than $2,500 for sessions that Reif did not conduct.
