SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - The New York Racing Association has a new attraction for the upcoming thoroughbred racing meet at Saratoga Race Course - the Saratoga Walk of Fame.

The covered structure features the traditional Saratoga turrets and is located adjacent to the Carousel. It will house a number of commemorative plaques honoring industry leaders, including owners, trainers and jockeys who have made an indelible mark on thoroughbred racing at the historic track, the oldest in the nation.

NYRA also announced the 2015 inductees to the Saratoga Walk of Fame. They are owners Ogden Mills Phipps and Marylou Whitney.

Plaques for each honoree will be unveiled during the annual Red Jacket Ceremony at Saratoga Race Course on Aug. 28, the eve of the 146th running of the $1.25 million Travers Stakes.
