TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A 2-year-old girl is in a Philadelphia hospital after she apparently fell from a window in New Jersey.

Trenton Police Lt. Stephen Varn tells NJ.com ((https://bit.ly/1LivFF4 ) the child fell asleep with her family on Sunday night. Relatives woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t find the girl.

Varn says a neighbor found her on the sidewalk around 1 a.m. Monday.

She was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center before being transported to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

It’s unclear how high the window was.

The toddler is suffering from a skull fracture and bleeding on the brain.
