COLCHESTER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont’s largest utility says it’s prepared to respond to possible outages following two anticipated rounds of strong thunderstorms.

A storm is expected to hit the state Tuesday morning, with the possibility of small hail. The next round is expected in the afternoon and could bring 60 mph winds, strong enough to topple trees and power lines.

Green Mountain Power spokeswoman Kristin Carlson says crews are ready to respond and more resources will be brought in if needed.
