RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - A Wake County school bus driver has been arrested and charged with assaulting two children.

Multiple media outlets reported that 50-year-old Jaqueline Harris Dennis of Fuquay-Varina is charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault on a child from an incident that Raleigh police said happened last month.

An arrest warrant says a 7-year-old boy was hit in the stomach and had his arm twisted and was shoved off the bus.

An eight-year-old boy was shoved into the metal frame of the bus.

The warrant says both incidents happened on Dennis’ bus May 12. She had been a bus driver since 2012.

Dennis is sch3eduled to appear in court Aug. 21. It was not clear if she has an attorney.
