TIGARD, Ore. (AP) - A police spokesman in the southwest Portland suburb of Tigard (TYE-gard) says a 76-year-old woman was injured when a car crashed through the front windows of the local post office.

Tigard police spokesman Jim Wolf says the victim was standing at the customer service counter Tuesday when the car drove through the front floor-to-ceiling windows. She was taken to a hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Wolf says the 64-year-old woman driving the car did not seem to be impaired or to have had any medical issues. She was not hurt. She cooperated with the police investigation.

No citations have been issued.
